Haddock

Haddock

Melanogrammus aeglefinus
Haddock has a mildly sweet taste with lean white flesh and medium flakes with a texture that is firm yet tender after cooking.
Haddock are harvested from cold, clean, pristine waters and shipped all over the world fresh, frozen, or smoked. Haddock is easily recognizable by the distinctive black stripe along the body, the small barbel on the chin and the oval black blotch or “thumbprint", sometimes called “The Devil’s thumbprint” under the lateral line. Haddock is a true Canadian seafood treasure.
